Healthy, easy, and crazy good. Peel and julienne (see pic if you’re not familiar) organic carrots. Lay out on baking sheet. Slathered in pasture butter and sprinkle with garlic salt and dill. Roast at 350* for 30 minutes. Done.
Fried Potatoes with Onions
Slice potatoes thin. Saute in deep sauté pan over high heat in a spoonful of bacon fat. Add onions about 1/2 way through. Sprinkle with salt. When potato slices start getting crisp and dark brown, add 1 t. or so of minced garlic. Saute another minute or so to blend flavors and remove from heat. Serve with organic ketchup or pile up and top with cultured sour cream and chopped green onion if you’re feeling fancy.
Crispy Asian Green Beans
Heat 2T. or so of oil in deep sauté or sauce pan (use one that’s healthy and has a high smoke point…I like avocado oil or bacon grease…avoid canola and soy). Add prepped organic green beans (clean, dry and ends cut off) and fry for 5-6 minutes. Reduce heat to medium. Add 2T. organic hoisin sauce and continue to sauté for another 2 minutes. Remove from pan. Sprinkle with toasted organic sesame seeds if your kids won’t barf at the sight.
Jazzed Up Easy Fries
Cook one bag of Alexa’s Natural Cut French Fries according to package directions. (Not my fave because they’re prepared with canola oil…yuck…but not the worst you can do.) Remove from oven and immediately top with 2 c. shredded cheese, fried bacon bits, chopped green onions. Serve with organic ketchup or hot sauce and cultured sour cream.
